I believe that change is possible and is made easier when worked on with a supportive person. I have a supportive, but also a direct approach to therapy. This means that we will work on your goals and at your speed, but I will also hold you accountable to your goals and provide feedback when it seems like your old patterns might be getting in the way of your future goals. Humor is an important part of life and can be instrumental in the healing process, so I often bring it into the therapy process to remind us that there is lightness even during the dark times.
I provide individual therapy to adults.
If you want to know more about my specific training and specialized practices please head over to the About Me section.
My therapy sessions are 53 minutes in length. I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United/Optum, Aetna, and Medcost insurance. If you are interested in working with me with a different insurance plan, or no insurance, I can do a private pay rate and give you documentation to submit to your insurance company for Out of Network reimbursement.
Please note: In accordance with the No Surprises Act (passed in January of 2022), all clients are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) Impact Summary upon request and before first appointment.
Clinical Supervision
I was lucky at the beginning of my career to have some fantastic supervisors who took the time to help me build a very strong clinical foundation. One of the joys of my job is getting to pass on that clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to clinicians new to the field or looking to expand their expertise. I provide supervision to individuals working on their LCMHC, LCAS, CCS, CDAC or maintaining their CDAC. Supervision can happen individually, within a dyad, or in a group setting. I believe that supervision is an ongoing process so I am available to people I provide supervision to outside of our supervision sessions. I would never want you to have to figure out ethical or legal issues on your own, that’s why I’m here!
Education
Over the past 10 years I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to develop my teaching skills. I have taught a variety of curriculum at conferences locally, regionally, and nationally. If you would like me to come and present to your agency, community group, or another professional group I would be honored. I have trainings ready to go on Perinatal Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders during Pregnancy and Postpartum, Substance Use Disorders 101, Integrated Care, and Vicarious Trauma. We can also work together to design a program that would be a perfect fit for your group.
