I love helping people through transitions.
Life transitions can be painful and difficult to navigate, but they can also be beautiful moments of growth. I love helping people along the transition sections of their journey. Whether it be transitioning into parenthood, through relationship changes, or into recovery I would be honored to walk with you on part of your journey.
I specialize in perinatal mental health, meaning mood issues during or after pregnancy, pregnancy loss, infertility, and adoption planning. I also have extensive experience working with new parents who need some support getting their “parenting sea legs”.
I do my best to live my life through an anti-oppressive/anti-racist lens. This of course shows up in the therapy work I do. I am always striving to learn more and shift how I view healing, healthcare, and systems in general. I welcome all types of people into my space and am here to have the sometimes hard conversations around these pieces of our identities.
Along with the above specialties I am also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) a specific way of resolving and healing from trauma. One of the primary approaches I use in therapy is called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is a non-pathologizing way of deepening our understanding of ourselves and our healing process.
You can read more about IFS here: IFS
